The Håkan Frisinger award
Each year the Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research awards a scholarship to a prominent researcher. The award is currently SEK 250,000 and since the start of the FUT programme in 2000 the receivers are:

• 2002 - Assistant Professor Dag Wedelin, Chalmers University of Technology
• 2003 - Professor Bengt Andersson, Chalmers University of Technology
• 2004 - Professor Michael Patriksson, Chalmers University of Technology
• 2005 - Professor Bo Egardt, Chalmers University of Technology
• 2006 - Professor Marcus Aldén, Lunds University
• 2007 - Decision to be made in Dec. 2007
Professor Marcus Aldén receives the 2006 Håkan Frisinger award
Professor Marcus Aldén, Lunds Institute of Technology at Lunds University in Sweden, has been awarded the scholarship for 2006 from "Håkan Frisinger’s foundation for transport research". The main part of Marcus Aldén’s scientific activities has been in the field of development and application of advanced optical (laser) techniques for characterisation of flow, combustion and other high temperature phenomena.
